Thursday 20th June – Saturday 22nd June, 7.30pm

For their 20th Anniversary Summer production, the New London Opera Group will present an exciting new production of one of the most popular operas of Gilbert and Sullivan, their nautical extravaganza, HMS Pinafore. This hilarious comedy satirizes the hierarchy of naval and social ranks, combined with the star crossed romance between the Captain's daughter and a humble seaman. Only the mysterious figure of Little Buttercup knows the secret that will make their dreams come true.

This new production, directed by Tony Bannister and conducted by Alex Carpenter will bring the opera to life with NewLOG's usual flair, set in the era of Nelson and Trafalgar and including many of the most popular songs in the canon, including "I'm called Little Buttercup", "Never mind the why and wherefore" and "He is an Englishman". We hope that you will join us for this midsummer treat.

The Music of Paul Simon and Simon and Garfunkel

Old Friends

Saturday 29th June 2024 7.30pm

Tickets £17.50 TheatreCard £16.00

The Sounds of Simon is a tribute to the wonderful music of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, through the years as Simon and Garfunkel, to the successes of both their solo careers.

Explore the friendship that led to songs such as Mrs Robinson, The Sounds of Silence and of course, Bridge Over Troubled Water. The full band will also take you through the pair’s solo careers, with songs such as You Can Call Me Al, Graceland, and Art’s smash hit, Bright Eyes.

Paul and Art are played to perfection, bringing in elements of their famously fractious relationship, as well as replicating the beautiful harmonies flawlessly.

With video clips, stories, and memories from the last 50+ years, this is a wonderful show filled with excellent music, nostalgia, and a genuine love for some great musicians.

This is the UK’s longest running tribute to Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. Come and see why!

As seen on BBC The One Show!
