Singleton Bev has a high-octane career flipping burgers in a van just off the M62. One morning she discovers Andy, the hunk of her dreams, in a storage cupboard wearing her mother like an oxygen mask. She is spurred into action and enrols in the 'Pen-Pals for Prisoners' scheme.
Bev falls head over heels in love with Nige, and is elated when he tells her that upon release, he intends to whisk her away to his English pub in Costa Teguise where she can live out her days as the Tiffany Mitchell of the Canaries. One small issue … She just needs to lend him £15,000 to pay for the top-flight solicitor that will ensure he will definitely make parole this time.
